| How BioRx Works |
|
|
Use of Touch Screen MonitorsBioRx uses touch screen monitors inside hoods to allow pharmacists and technologists quick access to the commands necessary for managing inventory (such as eluting generators, mixing kits, and filling orders). Communication with High-speed Prescription and Syringe Label PrintersBioRx communicates with high-speed prescription printers to ensure that the label is ready when the dose is ready. High-speed syringe label printers have the syringe label ready to pre-wrap the syringe before drawing the dose. Integration with Barcode ScannersBarcode scanners inside the hood verify that the correct dose is drawn from the correct kit. Barcode scanners at the shipping stations allow you to make a final check to ensure that the right dose goes to the right customer every time! Bi-directional Communication with Dose CalibratorsBi-directional communication with dose calibrators enables BioRx to track precise activities and amounts.Utilization of the Fastest Database EngineBioRx uses MySQL, one of the fastest database engines in the industry. The database engine allows us to use redundant database servers. We normally set up one of the computers in the hood as a backup server which stays in continual sync with the primary server. If the server goes down for any reason, we simply switch to the backup and no time is lost. BioRx also sends a backup of the database off-site every night. This backup goes to an independent location on the internet for safekeeping. BioRx servers come with a RAID 1 hard-drive setup (2 hard-drives in mirrored mode). The server is a file server, FTP server, HTTP server (web), e-mail server, firewall, VPN server (remote access), and a MySQL database server. |
